Lake Kawaguchi. 🌸
The most accessible of the five lakes. It serves as the main hub for hotels, buses, and museums. The northern shore offers the famous view of the mountain reflected in the water ("Sakasa Fuji").
Oishi Park
Famous for its lavender fields in June/July. The purple flowers against the white/blue mountain create a stunning contrast.
Maple Corridor
"Momiji Kairo." In November, this canal is lined with burning red maple trees. It is illuminated at night.
Lake Motosu. 💴
This is the deepest and clearest of the lakes. It is famous for one specific reason: the view from its northern shore appears on the back of the 1,000 Yen bill.
The 1000 Yen Spot
Pull out a 1000 yen note and compare it to reality. It depicts "Reverse Fuji" (reflection) and cherry blossoms.
Camping
Motosuko is less developed than Kawaguchiko. It is the premier spot for lakeside camping and windsurfing.
Shibazakura
Nearby is the Fuji Shibazakura Festival (April/May), where 800,000 pink moss flowers create a carpet at the foot of the mountain.

Fuji Onsen. 🧖
After hiking or sightseeing, soaking in a hot spring while looking at the mountain is the ultimate luxury. The water is heated by the volcano itself.
Fuji Yurari:
A famous day-trip onsen with 16 different baths. The outdoor "rotenburo" (open-air bath) offers a direct, unobstructed view of the peak.
Hoshinoya Fuji. 🔥
Japan's first "Glamping" resort. Located on the slopes overlooking Lake Kawaguchi. It is minimalist concrete cabins nestled in a red pine forest.
Cloud Terrace
A series of wooden platforms connected by stairs in the forest. You can roast marshmallows, drink whiskey, and watch the sunrise in total silence.
The Cabins
Every cabin has a massive glass wall facing the mountain. It frames Fuji like a living painting.
